How It Works

The distance is the great-circle distance. the shortest path between two points on the surface of the Earth. computed with the Haversine formula from each airport's latitude and longitude. Real routes are slightly longer because they follow air corridors and jet streams.

The flight time estimate assumes a typical jet cruise speed of about 850 km/h plus a fixed allowance of roughly 30 minutes for taxi, take-off, climb, descent, and landing. It reflects the airborne duration of a non-stop flight and does not include layovers, holding patterns, or gate delays.

The time zone difference uses each airport's standard (winter) UTC offset. Daylight saving time can shift the actual difference by an hour in either location, so treat it as a guide when booking.
